Re: [Brickyarders] On the menu ...

Any Brickyarders available/willing to run Saturday morning? I'm looking to do 8-10 miles. I have to work on Sunday's, otherwise I would join you.

Some of us are talking about a 7:30 AM Brickyard Road 14 mile run this Sunday. Which will fit in nicely with the Tinsel Fun Run the day before. But we don't want you to forget that there are all sorts of other choices in the early December menu. Take your pick!

Rose and Erica run (and talk!) the whole way and still ...

cross in 2:14! At 7 AM they took off at the PAL Half Marathon at Palmer Ranch in Sarasota, FL. Rose placed 3rd! Here's how she described the day ...

"The race was great! Erica and I had a blast! We talked the whole time! She said her comfortable pace was 10 1/2 to 11 minutes. We ran about two hours and 14 minutes, I think it was 10 minutes and 14 seconds per mile. I placed third. It didn't feel like we even ran. Erica was dancing away afterwards. She is so much fun and she looks great. She asked about you and I told her that you are running strong. She said "Oh I wish he was here." Carmen came with the bike so we do not have any picture from the finish. They had so much food from a restaurant Erica said "I never saw anything like it!" Chicken breast, ravioli, hot dogs. I cannot name all the food they had. It was unbelievable! After we finished we danced around! I am sending you some pictures.

Amby

Some of us will be in Meriden, CT. Some of us will be in Barton, VT. Brent'll be in Manchester. Amby will too. For the 50th time. Here's how Lori Riley put it ...

I can't resist adding the following comment: Lani is so selfless she simply congratulated everybody on their race in Connecticut and did not mention what she accomplished in Pennsylvania.

RE: [Brickyarders] Wallingford Turkey Trot

Congrats to the Brickyarders at the weekend races, and as always nice photos by Linda.

Wishing everyone a nice Thanksgiving as well. Lani

Tracy (Fast and Forty) broke 40 minutes today for a PR. She walked away w/ a beautiful trophy. Her pace was 7:57. She ran faster than every other woman in the 40-49 division. She was the 9th woman to cross the finish line. 157 runners completed the race.

Larry Regan missed breaking 33 minutes by 2 seconds. That's a 6:36 pace. His Dad commented to me "We've got two other sons that are just as good." What an awesome thing to say about your kids.

Brent and I did our duel in the sun thing and we were about 17 seconds apart at the finish. I was 9 seconds / mile slower this year than last.

Re: [Brickyarders] 5K and 8K today, 5 and 26.2 tomorrow ...

OMG, LMAO!  Thanks for leaving out my time, Lee, which happens to be my absolute worst 5K for the year 2012.  It is, however, my best time so far in my new age group.  Isn't that kind of neat - best/worst at the same time.  Yin and yang.

Mike, that was awfully nice of you to help the other runner look for his keys in the middle of the race.  I assume he found them?

Mike's ran the 8K XC Challenge. He helped out a runner mid race and spent time looking for the runner's car key in the leaves. Well done Mike. Here are a few of the pictures Kelly took.

Anybody notice the awesome bib number Mike's wearing? Palindromic, prime (and the 26th prime!)

Oh, and lest we forget, Tray, Brent and Lee are running 5 tomorrow in Wallingford and Lani is running 26.2 in Philly.
