Another awesome Colchester is on the books. Adam, Tracy, Lee, Lea, Lani ran it. Wanda, Michelle, Michael Lo Presti, Theresa Conneely, Vanessa Russo, Karen Prado, Andy Zyrek, Bekkie Wright and many many other friends were there. RD Rick Konon did his usual fantastic job, appearing at least twice to side-five the oncoming runners.
The air was cold. The surface was pretty icy on the dirt roads.
Karen fast walked the entire race, babying an injury. Laurie von Schmidt, Birthday girl, early started and when Lee went back to run her in he only had to go about 500 yards. Major accomplishment for both girls.
Karen took the above.
Tray and Lee hung together for about the first 10 miles but she finished about 5 minutes ahead of him. Lani was a couple of minutes in front of Lee. Adam and Lee traded places a few times (they're good at that!). Lea, and Michael finished a few minutes over 2 hours.
The food was prepared by the Bacon Academy students and was just plain awesome.
The 169ers were well represented.
