The Winter of 2015

Both Hyannis (Feb 22) and Martha's Vineyard (Feb 14) got cancelled this year. Listening to the weather forecast this morning on the radio, this weekend looks cold, wet, snowy etc. etc. The Amherst, MA 10 miler is on Sunday (I hope). Although I've been a bit logy of late, yesterday's easy 6 was pleasanter than I expected. (Last sentence is an inside joke between me and Tray.) Heading out shortly to see if the 5 below (breezeway temp. early this morning) has gone up any. Will attempt 10.

The start line of Hyannis Marathon in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Harsh winter conditions have forced the cancellation of the Hyannis Marathon, which was set for February 22 and where about 4,500 runners were registered to race. The Hyannis decision comes after the Martha's Vineyard 20 Miler—a popular event for runners training for April's Boston Marathon—was canceled last week. The Martha's Vineyard event had been scheduled for February 14.
