We are Open and Affirming. We are the only 100% non-snob running group on the planet :-) Come join The Brickyarders for group runs Sunday mornings! We meet at the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail parking lot on Brickyard Road in Farmington. Start time: 8:00 AM. Various distances and paces but everyone is welcome! Email Tracy Freeman: tlzagata@cox.net or just show up!
Wow, thanks so much Chip! Looking foward to meeting you at the race. Be prepared to either congratulate or console me at the end. :)

Good luck in the race on Sunday! We are off to Denver tomorrow for vacation with Dave's family and some high altitude training! I do feel the altitude when I'm running in Colorado and am very happy to get back to sea level. Hopefully, the training will prepare Dave and I for the Guilford 10-miler in August. This will be the longest race I have done in years.
ReplyDeleteGreat Barbara! Will see you tomorrow. My brother, Rose and I will be running the Guilford race. Good for you to take on that challenging distance! Have a great vacation in Colorado!

Barbara, have a great time in Colorado! See you in a couple of weeks. Keep us posted on how that high altitude training goes. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to meeting you Tray. The Extra Good Luck Award is very special. Once you achieve this form of recognition, it has lasting powers and actually becomes more powerful over time independent of possible "off" days in tracing (interesting typo!). You have its powers now and you can look forward that edge at some point. Run within and you will be awesome. It will be fun no matter how we do. But I know you know this, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lee (!!!) for making me an honorary Brickyarder. Actually, this makes me want to have something to take home to remind me of my new membership. Maybe something amazing will happen (I may be dreaming here) and I may get some kind of age group award. That would be cool. Either way, I am happy to be a Brickyarder now.
I've not talked with you Barbara, but I hope you enjoy Colorado. We all may have to look out for YOU when you return because THEN you will have all that extra oxygen in your blood. You and Dave may fly right by us
all in the 10-miler in August. Even Tray!
