Brickyard!

I think  today we shifted into a new gear ... we are definitely focused on the Fall races in front of us.

Linda, Mari, Brent, Dave, Barbara, Rose, Lee, Tray and Lea ran / walked this morning. Distances run varied from 8 to about 20. Rose and Linda supplied water, energy bars and fruit at three different spots. We all did our usual pair up in smaller groups of 2 to 3 and several times switched around to get a chance to run / talk w/ different people.

Good thing Rose was looking out for us as she called out at one point that some of us (we won't say who) missed the left to go under the bridge and into the Police station area. This was not the only misstep - the cooler at Canal Street (near Abigail's) was not seen and some of us (we won't say who) ended up running over a mile past it before we turned around.

Lea did her full 19 by continuing South from the parking lot and then coming back.

Dave and Lee and Barb talked about how great a place Rogers Orchards is. I think we've got the short loop and long loop straight now.

The week before Hogsback Half is the 10/20/30K Fall Distance Frolic. Applications were on hand. I think Brent was the promoter. It's in Stratford, is flat and has the best race director in the state, Marty Schaivione.

Putting out cold drinks etc. should be rotated. Tell us if you can do it.

Pretty much a banner day today! Well done, everybody!

Next week Linda and I will be in Vermont with her sister and partner. The Echo Lake 10 miler is on Saturday. Hope your Saturday run goes well.
