Re: [Brickyarders] Call to Brickyard!!

Good luck tomorrow Lee!  I plan on doing 15 at a relaxed pace, per the advice of my running consultant.  Then I'm at the taper already.  Deja vu.

Kim just backed out now - says she needs to start earlier.

Looks like I won't see anybody until the race for Eddie at the end of Nov.  Just got a flyer in the mail for the Malibu race on Thanksgiving Day.  Not sure what we are doing yet but it starts at an un-Godly hour of the morning.  Anyone racing on Thanksgiving?

8 AM. Brickyard. Be there!

Here's what I know ...

I'm running a half in Vermont tomorrow so won't be there.

Tray's doing 12-15 in preparation for Harrisburg which is on the 13th. Brent'll be doing 12. He's running the 5 miler in Kent the next day. I think Tray's friend Kim will be joining them. She's doing the Philadelphia marathon which is on the 20th.

Rose is doing up to 10. Mary Franco will be joining us. She ran the Hartford full.

Lynda Jaeger has also indicated she is interested in joining us. She ran the Hartford half.

Barb is mending. Dave is helping people out who suffered losses due to Hurricane Katrina. He's running a little but is still babying his knee / leg.

Lea will return to Brickyard on the 12th and will not be there tomorrow. She, Brent, Rose and a guy from the Vernon group I run w/ on Wednesdays are gearing up for the Ghost Run next Saturday. Tray, wisely, will forego, focusing on doing well 8 days later.

The weather looks cold, snowy. Dress warm.

PS

November 7th was Eddie's birthday. Let's celebrate Eddie by gathering about his bench and then running the trail. The official day for the Eddie Gorecki Brickyard Boogie is Sunday, November 27th. This is 3 days after Turkey Day and doesn't seem to conflict with anybody's schedule. This will be a word-of-mouth, small, low key, self-timed 4 or 8 mile run on the trail starting @ 9 AM. Talk it up tomorrow. Who can make muffins, hot chocolate? Promote the day on the HTC Facebook page and here. Talk to your running friends. I have bibs from Hogsback. Photos, results will be posted here.
